We have been very happy with LG Architectural Services. Llwyd explained the process for building our extension including all the red tape that surrounds it, planning permission, building regulations and so on and made it easy for us to follow. He guided us through the process.

In terms of the design he listened to our needs and wants and designed an extension that was friendly to our budget but also to suit our needs as a growing family. He suggested things we had not thought of and gave recommendations for drain surveyors, structural engineers and builders which was vital as Llwyd having had previous experience with them meant that we could trust these contractors. He was always on hand to answer any questions and queries and also worked around us and our young family.

I was lucky Llwyd was the first to respond to my architect inquiry on Bark.com because he turned out to be the best out of the 4 who gave me quotations for single ground floor extension to my end terrace home in Crawley. It was important for me to get someone who could work around my budget timelines without making me feel like an inconvenience.

From the first meeting he came across as honest and I felt like I could trust his advice when suggested a few ideas that I hadn’t considered. He has worked through my vision patiently and drew up something that we were both happy with and would get through planning without issues. He has a lot of experience and I was able to look at his works for a similar project. He managed the planning process on my behalf from start to finish and did the initial registration with a building control firm so when I got a builder, I would be able to start without any outstanding pre-construction works or conditions. He had good recommendations for party wall surveyors, drainage firms and builders all who turned out to be helpful too. He was okay for me to bring my own structural engineer onboard and worked well with her without any resistance or indication that he preferred to work with someone he already knew.

I would recommend him to friends and family any day. His patient manner allows the client to bring their vision to light without the pressure of having to make decisions quickly.
